For accountants and bookkeepers

Clean books for your messiest clients.
15% back, every month.

You can tie out the bank. You can't tie out a stockroom. AegisSwift runs your clients' purchasing, receiving, sales and production, and every transaction lands in QuickBooks Online or Desktop. Send a client one link: they get a 30-day trial and 10% off their first year, and you earn 15% of what they pay for as long as they're a customer.

Why your clients need it

They keep QuickBooks. They keep you.

The count everyone trusts

Stock moves when it's received, sold, shipped or built. No spreadsheet named inventory_FINAL_v3, and no write-down you find in March.

Books that update as work happens

Bills, invoices and payments sync to QuickBooks Online or Desktop as they happen. Your client doesn't leave QuickBooks, and doesn't leave you.

Production cost, posted properly

For manufacturers: bills of materials, work orders, and production cost posted to QuickBooks Online through a work-in-process account — the one you've been building by journal entry every quarter. On Desktop, one period-end summary entry from the WIP ledger.

How it works

One link. Everything after it is tracked for you.

  1. Apply. Fill in the form below. It takes two minutes, and a person reads every application.
  2. Get your link. Once we've approved you, we email your personal link (like aegisswift.com/r/SMITHCPA) and the matching code, with a short email to send clients and a short video for them to watch.
  3. Sign the agreement. We send the partner agreement. Sign it and send us a W-9: both are needed before your first payout, not before your first referral.
  4. Introduce a client. Email them the link, or read the code out on a call. The sign-up page shows your firm's name and applies their discount before they finish.
  5. Get paid. Each payment the client makes is recorded against you. You're paid quarterly, and you can see your clients and earnings any time in the partner portal.
The terms

What you earn, and when.

Commission15% of net sales from each client you refer, on any plan.
Net salesThe subscription money we actually collect, after the client's discount and any refunds, before sales tax and any card surcharge.
Your client's offerA 30-day free trial (normally 14) and 10% off their first 12 months. It stacks with the 20% annual-billing discount, so a client who pays a year up front saves 28% in year one.
How long it lastsEvery month the client keeps paying. It ends when they cancel, and picks up again if they come back within 90 days.
Refund protectionEach payment waits 30 days before it earns, in case it is refunded. An annual prepayment earns its full commission at once, after the same 30 days.
PayoutsQuarterly, by ACH bank transfer, with a statement listing each client and payment. Balances under $50 roll into the next quarter.
Who gets creditThe first accountant to refer a client. A later referral can't take it over.
Firm or individualSign as your firm and the commission stays with the firm if you move on. Sign as yourself and it follows you.
PaperworkA signed partner agreement and a W-9 before your first payout. We issue a 1099-NEC at year end where required.

Professional rules

Your rules come first.

You're responsible for following the rules of your own profession, and the partner agreement says so. In particular:

  • CPAs. The AICPA Code of Professional Conduct (1.520) bars a commission from a client you perform an audit, review or certain compilation work for. For any other client, you must tell them about the fee. Many state boards of accountancy add rules of their own.
  • Every partner. For each client, you confirm you're allowed to accept the commission and that you've told them about it.
  • Your clients see it too. The sign-up page your link opens says that your firm may receive a referral fee from AegisSwift.
Questions

Before you apply

Do I have to be a CPA?
No. Bookkeepers and enrolled agents are welcome. The professional rules below apply to whatever licence you hold.
Do I have to sell or support the software?
No. We set up the client's account, train them and support them. Your part is the introduction.
Can I pass the commission to my client instead?
No. The client already gets 10% off their first year, and the commission is paid to you.
Will inventory in AegisSwift match QuickBooks to the cent?
Not always, and by design: AegisSwift and QuickBooks Online value inventory by different costing methods. Quantities and transactions match; the cost of what's on the shelf can differ slightly. We'll walk you through why before you recommend us.
Can I refer a business I own part of?
No. A business you have an ownership interest in isn't eligible, and the agreement asks you to confirm that.
